Lindsay Lohan has decided its time to work again

June 1st, 2009

Lindsay Lohan the actress has been flying under the radar recently. She has been mostly just traveling from Coast to Coast on the US map following her former girlfriend Samantha Ronson on her dj gigs.

She has not starred in a film since 2007’s “I Know Who Killed Me.” She filmed a movie in 2008 called “Labor Pains” but it went straight to USA Map cable.

Lohan has become marginalized as an actress on the world map; instead she is now just a target of tabloid fodder and “I can’t believe what she did this week” stories.

It has come out on People.com that Lohan has landed herself a role in an independent fantasy comedy called “The Other Side”. Her co-stars are set to be: Giovanni Ribisi, Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews and Woody Harrelson.

Variety Magazine reported that the plot will be this:

The film focuses on “a grad student [Lohan] who must spend the summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island,” Variety” reports. “She discovers an eccentric community of characters who are hiding a secret about a tragedy that took place many years before.”

Hopefully Lohan’s comeback will be a successful one. She has had scandal in the past of being difficult to work with. On the set of her movie “Georgia Rule” she showed up to work late a lot and a movie studio exec even wrote her a letter commenting on her professionalism.

Since she has not been in a real movie role in quite sometime its time for Lohan to again establish herself as an actress again. She has really not had a successful movie role since 2004’s “Mean Girls.”

Perhaps Lindsay has learned that fans have grown tired of her antics and it is time to move back to the thing that made her famous, movies.
