Three of Washington DC traditions are: the Washington International Horse Show; Old Town Alexandria’s walking tour; and of course the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Old Town Alexandria’s walking tour begins across the Potomac River where tourist can spend a day meandering along the beautiful historic streets of Old Town, Alexandria. This quaint historic district dates back to 1749. While there, they can grab a bite to eat at Gadsby’s Tavern, an Early-American style restaurant and museum.
The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History’s exhibition: Discover Your World uncovers the fascinating discoveries of the Human Origins; this is a permanent exhibit. While at the museum, visitors should see the Gem Gallery . They will be wowed by the stunning beauty of the authentic Hope Diamond.
