Are you looking for a simple way to update your space at home? Really who doesn’t have one little thing they would like to change in their house? Too bad home repairs cost so much darn money. And with Americans having less expendable income than in recent memory people are looking for a low cost way to spruce up their space.
There are a number of things you can attempt to give your home a fresh feeling. A good idea is to think about paint. And no you don’t have to pain the entire house, how about some accent walls? Accent wall are where you paint one wall a different color than the rest of the walls to give the room a different kind of feeling. It really does brighten up and change a room to just paint one of the walls. And also, since you are only painting one wall you can buy less paint.
Another great option is to think about changing your window treatments. They are really not as expensive as you would think and there are so many options online. Take Next Day Blinds for example. They have both a majorly huge online inventory and showrooms. So you can pre-shop and make color choices online and then go in store to see your choices in person.
And the best part, Next Day Blinds will deliver and assemble your new window treatments! Really what could be easier than that? Next Day Blinds takes all of the guess work of measuring and installing totally out of the process.
If you want the most bang for minimal effort, you should just buy some new home accessories. When was the last time you replaced your bathroom towels? Little things that that can really spruce a place up, or go to a discount store and look for framed art. Framed art always adds sophistication to every room.

The American worker takes only more vacation time than a worker in Mexico. We are a nation of complete workaholics, who instead of feeling entitled to our vacation days, feel bad for asking for them.
Now, with the economy the way it is, people may not be able to afford the vacations that they once took. But instead of not taking that time off, you should still take it off and just stay home and think of other ways you can spend that money instead of on a lavish vacation with airfare and hotel plus attractions and food.
Why not take some time to actually discover the city that you live in. Take some time out to explore some of the cultural things in your city that you rarely have time for.
You could also get some things crossed off of your to do list. If you have been meaning to get your closet cleaned out, it would be a perfect time to actually do it finally. Having time to do it will make sure you do it thoroughly and don’t rush the process.
Take in some local sporting events. Treat yourself to some tickets to a game in town. Baseball is of course, America’s pastime and there is bound to be a game going on in your city during the summer.
Another option is to just spend some time around your house. Take some of the money that you would have spent on a vacation and put it towards something that you have wanted. Have you always wanted a hot tub in your backyard? Check out the website of Steven Barbarich, choosehottubsdirect.com. Think about how putting some of that money you would have spent on a vacation aside will help you buy something that you have always wanted.
No matter what to choose to do with your vacation time, just remember to relax!

Mumbai is a vibrant fascinating city in India, and was formerly known as Bombay. It has an incredibly interesting history, which is relevant to its contemporary cultural. It also has thriving arts scene and is one of India’s primary tourist destinations. There are many beautiful landmarks that are part of Mumbai’s scenic dynamics and also representative of its cultural heritage. Tourists staying in one of the 5 star Mumbai hotels often plan to visit the premiere city icons such as the Haji Ali Daragh. Situated on an islet off the coast of southern Mumbai, it is easily one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.
This famous mosque and dargah was built in 1431 and was done so in the memory of a great Muslim preacher Syed Peer Haji Shah Bukhari. He was a significant historical figure and is known for having traveled the world before settling in what is now Mumbai. There are many legends surrounding Bukhari and one of them involves his finding a woman who was crying on the road. The poor woman was holding and empty vessel and when Bukhari inquired about her situation she said that her husband was going to be extremely upset with her because she had dropped the vessel and spilled the oil it contained. Bukhari asked the woman to take him to the spot where she spilt the oil and the woman complied. He dug his finger into the ground in that spot and suddenly oil gushed to the surface. The woman was overjoyed, she filled her vessel, thanked Bukhari and went home.
his story continues and becomes part of philosophical consideration of this great teacher. It has been said that he later had dreams about this event, and in them he realized that his actions had hurt the mother earth. He became extremely remorseful and was filled with regret. This led to his becoming ill and eventual death. Bukhari asked as his final wish that his coffin be taken to the Arabian Sea and deposited into it. His followers complied, and after drifting for many days, it finally came to rest on the tiny islet that is where the mosque now lies. It is an extremely popular pilgrimage site and as many as 40,000 worshipers come to the shrine on Thursdays and Fridays.

When it comes to looking for the cities with the greatest five-star hotels, Goa is something to brag about. One of the smaller of India’s large cities, it is possible to claim a vacation here without the overwhelming hustle and bustle of the more crowded places. There is still the close proximity to the beach, as Goa sits on India’s west coast, and there are some wonderful natural habitats to visit, as it is rich in biodiversity. Its main source of income is tourism, and it fares considerably better than other cities in the region economically. This means a very stimulating and rejuvenating traveler’s experience.
Like the rest of India, there are hundreds of thousands of fascinating people who have lived here at one time or another. Considering it is one of longest continually-inhabited countries on the planet, the human record is long and remarkable. One interesting character from Goa is the former Director-General of Police Julio Francis Ribeiro . A bit of an enigma, this sturdy, tough-speaking agent of justice served a difficult post in very tumultuous times. He was in charge during the terrorist acts in the 1980s, and his leadership was uncompromising (according to his friends and enemies). Today, however, he has turned from fighting militants to fighting corruption.
In his new post, Julio Francis Ribeiro now serves in completely different capacities. No longer carrying a gun, which is a very important condition for any new work as far as he, and his wife, Melba, are concerned, he participates in radical community organization. So that one of the functions might be to mediate conversations between Muslim and Hindi girls after a local sewing workshop. This work is much less dangerous of course, but judging from the happiness exuding from the septigenarian’s frame, no less rewarding. He continues to work out of Mumbai, but maintains his home in his childhood Goa.

The Balearic Island of La Palma one of the more mountainous of the Spanish Islands. In the middle of the island is the largest crater known in the world called La Madera de Taburiente. This site is one of the many on the island perfect for a day hike, as it has also been made into a National Park filled with pine forests and camp grounds. On the highest peak, Roque de los Muchachos there is an observatory with a telescope, along with the spectacular view of the island and the coasts that are visible to the naked eye. When traveling to this serene island one has many options in regards to accommodations and luxury hotels. Palma Island’s capital is Santa Cruz, is on the eastern coast of the island and has much to offer visitors in the way of outdoor adventure and natural history.
Just on the coast of the bay, this city is protected by the mountain ranges that surround it. The city was founded in the late 1400′s by Alonxo Fernandez de Lugo, and immediately became the capital city. The charm of this city is overwhelming, with streets made of cobblestone, cozy and intimate town squares, curving alleys, and numerous buildings of historical significance. Located in the center of the town one will find the governmental buildings, The Museum of Natural History, a library, cinemas, and theaters. Just walking through the city is a day spent well. There are two main roads that run through the city parallel to the coast. And depending on which kind of a stroll one is in the mood for taking, each road offers different experiences.
Avenida Maritima is the main road leading through the city and down to the coast. Along this street one will find many coffee shops, restaurant, and boutique stores. If one prefers a more quiet moment, the Calle Real is more of a residential street, lined with beautiful, historical mansions and houses. During the festival of Bajada, the parades and processions march down this street. The next of the island’s largest festival will take place during a four week period from July through August in 2010. This festival happens just once every five years. There are many other annual festivals that occur throughout each of the islands, and Palma is the perfect place to experience the excitement of the celebrations, combined with the peaceful vibe of this, the largest of the Balearic Islands.

Lindsay Lohan the actress has been flying under the radar recently. She has been mostly just traveling from Coast to Coast on the US map following her former girlfriend Samantha Ronson on her dj gigs.
She has not starred in a film since 2007’s “I Know Who Killed Me.” She filmed a movie in 2008 called “Labor Pains” but it went straight to USA Map cable.
Lohan has become marginalized as an actress on the world map; instead she is now just a target of tabloid fodder and “I can’t believe what she did this week” stories.
It has come out on People.com that Lohan has landed herself a role in an independent fantasy comedy called “The Other Side”. Her co-stars are set to be: Giovanni Ribisi, Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews and Woody Harrelson.
Variety Magazine reported that the plot will be this:
The film focuses on “a grad student [Lohan] who must spend the summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island,” Variety” reports. “She discovers an eccentric community of characters who are hiding a secret about a tragedy that took place many years before.”
Hopefully Lohan’s comeback will be a successful one. She has had scandal in the past of being difficult to work with. On the set of her movie “Georgia Rule” she showed up to work late a lot and a movie studio exec even wrote her a letter commenting on her professionalism.
Since she has not been in a real movie role in quite sometime its time for Lohan to again establish herself as an actress again. She has really not had a successful movie role since 2004’s “Mean Girls.”
Perhaps Lindsay has learned that fans have grown tired of her antics and it is time to move back to the thing that made her famous, movies.

Most people shy away from being the leader or public speaking. They do not want to deal with the responsibility or being blamed if something goes wrong. But what if you are not afraid of that and can’t figure out how to let your leadership skills get noticed? It’s time to stand up and let your boss and superiors know that you are the one who is meant for leadership.
If you think you are ready to become a leader in your field you are going to have to have the know how it requires. Become an expert on your field, make it your passion. Or at least pretend it is.
Ever heard the saying about dressing for the job that you want? Well if you are not already doing that start so immediately. Image is a big part of a leader, if you look like a leader people will take your ideas more seriously and believe that you are an authority figure. That’s where some leadership development can come in.
When you have an opportunity to speak up or offer ideas, always do so. Even if you don’t think you have a good idea, still offer something up. It will allow you to become memorable, so that when it comes time for promotions people know who you are and know what kind of work you do.
Keep your boss updated on the kind of work you are doing. Even if they don’t ask you to keep track of you work it is a good idea for you to at least keep a log for yourself. So when you do get that interview for a higher position you can easily show a record of your past work.
Have ideas, but don’t give them all away at once. If you are interviewed for a promotion offer up some key points but make them hire you to get all of your ideas!
