Area Rugs and Outdoor Rugs Help Out A Lot
July 30, 2008 6:14 pm Home & GardenRugs can do a lot for any room. I have a rug by my kitchen sinks because when I am cleaning the dishes or rinsing them off to put in the dishwasher, the tile hurts my feet—especially when it’s cold. The small area rug that I use matches my kitchen décor and it serves as a warming cushion for my feet.
I also have a couple of outdoor rugs on my patio. When I have family and friends over barbeques and cookouts, my living room and kitchen begin to feel cramped. By adding the outdoor rugs and several chairs, my guests feel like the patio is just an extension of the house and they end up outside which creates more space inside. So really, these two ways to use rugs save me a lot of needless suffering from the cold tiles and worry because I know my guests have enough space.
